Redemption
When I first met you baby
All these feelings led me astray
Well I don’t know what you been told
But I guess I’m talking about
I’m talking about love, yes I am
I‘m talking about love
And I can’t hold it back
'Cause I’m in love with you baby
All these feelings led me astray
I am in love with you baby and ohhh
Take me by the hand and drive me through the wild While I pray for my redemption
Let me know what secrets there are left to find
Take me to the promise land, there is nothing left to hide
Ain’t nothing like your love, no, no, no
Ain’t nothing like your love
Oh Yeah Yeah Yeah
'Cause I’m in love with you baby
All these feelings leave me astray
I am in love with you baby and ohhh
Take me by the hand and drive me through the wild
While I pray for my redemption
Take me by the hand and drive me through the wild
Take me to the promise land, there is nothing left to hide
Ain’t nothing like your love, no there isn’t
Ain’t nothing like your love
Oh Yeah Yeah Yeah
Because I’m in love with you baby
All these feelings led me astray
I'm in love with you baby and ohhh
Take me by the hand and drive me through the wild While I pray for my redemption

About the song

As the 6th track on the album, Redemption marked a turning point in the band’s writing process, being one of the first songs fully developed together in the rehearsal room rather than from pre-written demos. After exploring longer, more expansive tracks, the band set out to create something shorter, sharper, and more immediate—and the song came together in under an hour.
The foundation was a riff Dragos had been holding onto for years, originally inspired by RATM's 'Bombtrack'. Despite being one of the first riffs he ever wrote, it had never quite found its place until then.
From the first jam, the track took shape quickly, with Maria developing vocal melodies and arrangement ideas on the spot. A standout moment came with the evolving guitar solo, whose continuous modulations sparked the idea for it to culminate in a psychedelic bridge—adding a contrasting, dreamlike section to the song’s otherwise high-energy drive.
Sonically, Redemption captures the essence of a classic rock anthem: upbeat, riff-driven, and built around big, singalong choruses. It has since become a fan favourite, bringing a powerful sense of connection during live shows.
Lyrically, the song carries an uplifting and empowering message, centred around surrendering to love, embracing the moment, and finding freedom through that experience.
While the production leans into a more traditional four-piece rock setup, the band still weaves in their evolving “wall of sound” approach—most notably in the psychedelic bridge, where layered vocals, reverbs, and echoes create a swirling, almost fever-dream-like atmosphere that contrasts with the song’s direct, punchy core.
