About us
Formed in 2021, Manchester-based Luna Marble comprises Maria Rico (vocals), Dragos Colceriu (guitar), David Grundy (bass) and Charlie Morris (drums). Drawing on the freedom and authenticity of 70s rock while forging a sound of their own, the band blend genre-fluid creativity with whimsical charm. Stadium-ready riffs, anthemic choruses and ethereal melodies create a distinctive sound that draws comparisons to Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac and Rival Sons.
Cosmic imagery is central to Luna Marble’s identity, from starry stage designs to bold, otherworldly outfits. Their immersive live shows combine theatrical spectacle and atmospheric storytelling with unapologetic rock ’n’ roll energy.
The band have steadily built their reputation on the UK rock scene, from a mini-tour of Denmark in 2023 to their self-run headline series, Luna Marble & Friends: The Rock & Roll Circus, and a sold-out album launch at Manchester Academy 3. Following a Battle of the Bands win that secured them a slot at Firevolt Festival, they have performed alongside established acts including Sari Schorr, The Karma Effect, The Dust Coda and The Wild Things. More recently, they have secured UK tour support slots with Hannah Wicklund and Jack J Hutchinson and appeared at Planet Rockstock. Their live momentum continues into 2027, with a March headline tour planned across major UK cities, including London, Brighton, Birmingham and Manchester.
Released in November 2025, their self-titled debut album captures the band’s raw 70s rock energy and dreamy, cosmic textures, preserving the spontaneity and chemistry of their live performances. The record earned three features in Classic Rock magazine: Number 1 Track of the Week for their single ‘Sea of Sorrow’, a place on The Hot List for ‘Crazy Lovin’’, and inclusion in the magazine’s High Hopes feature for 2025. The band have also featured in Powerplay and Fireworksmagazines, received Spotify support from Joe Bonamassa and airplay support from Elles Bailey on Planet Rock, and were shortlisted by Kerrang! Radio for a record deal.
In March 2026, Luna Marble released their first live album, accompanied by a film capturing the energy and spectacle of their Rock & Roll Circus shows. Together, the releases showcase the band’s electrifying stage presence and growing connection with their audience.
Now entering their next chapter, Luna Marble won a fundraising campaign run by YouTuber Sina Drums (2 million subscribers) , earning the opportunity to record their second album at BOOM Studios in Portugal in October 2026. This gave the band access to professional recording facilities and an experienced production team, alongside a collaboration with established artist and multi-instrumentalist James Holt. Building on the foundations of their acclaimed debut, Luna Marble's hard work and dedication is starting to pay off as the band continues to develop their sound, expand their live reach and take their cosmic vision to bigger stages making them a band to watch out for 2027.
