Our Story
It is amazing to think that Luna Marble started by chance. Sort of. When lockdown hit there wasn’t much to do. Maria and Dragos were mere acquaintances as Dragos was the house guitarist at Maria’s student union. Because they lived close to each other they decided to start jamming together.

But the story started even earlier when Maria began recording some of her original songs as part of her assignments in University. ‘Running’, ‘All of my Love’ and ‘Mad World’ were all born then with David being the bass player for the original recording of Mad World way back in 2019. Fun fact: Maria asked Dragos to be part of that session but he refused. Little did he know…
Fast forward back to 2020. Lockdown times. After a running through some songs Maria and Dragos quickly realised that they had incredible musical chemistry. They started working on Maria’s old ideas and writing new songs together. ‘We must have finished about 10 songs in the span of a few months, it was a creative explosion for both of us.’
The next step was to find a bass player and a drummer. David was the logical choice, not only because he has worked with Maria on her music before but also because he was one of the best bass players around as well as a reliable and great guy to work with. Sean and David had been playing together for a while and a bromance had already been established so finding a drummer was another natural choice. Fun fact #2: Maria, David and Sean were actually briefly in a function band in 2018.
After a successful first rehearsal when Dragos and Maria were impressed with Sean the band was officially formed at the end of 2020. It only took them about 6 months to find a name…
Their first gig was a rather amazing occurrence as well. They played at Glaston-Bury festival 2021 on an outdoors stage in front of a rather generous crowd, taking Square Wild’s slot after they had to cancel due to illness. Thank you Square Wild.
Following that, the band started gigging around Manchester extensively, most notably establishing their themed headline shows: ‘The Rock ’n’ Roll Circus in November 2021 at Gullivers with the occasion of their debut single release, ‘Running’. This solidified their cosmic like image and ethos as a band through their choice of outfits and starry stage decorations. And the rest is history to be continued…
