About the song

Running, the opening track of our debut album, was born from a voice note in which Maria was humming the main riff back in 2019. She originally wrote it with a temporary band she was experimenting with, but it wasn’t until she met Dragos that the song began to take its current shape.
The track is historically significant for the us: Maria needed session musicians to record it for a university assignment, and that session became the very first time the core members—Dragos, David, and Sean—jammed together. The recording from that session forms the version you hear on the album.
Musically and thematically, Running captures a burning desire to break free, assert personal empowerment, and become your own person—a theme that resonates throughout the rest of the album. It perfectly sets the tone for the our sound and journey, making it a fitting opener for the album.
